Wie am 23.04.2010 auf MansonWorld.com berichtet, ist ein 1 minütiger Promo-Trailer zu Marilyn Manson’s Filmprojekt “Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll” im Internet aufgetaucht – veröffentlicht durch die Produktionsfirma Revel Studios Inc.! Mittlerweile ist das Video auf der Webseite der Studios wieder entfernt … doch Mr. Manson scheint alles andere als begeistert über den Release zu sein und äußerte sich heute in einem MySpace-Post:
The public consumption of material.
While, I am always pleased with the art that I have created, alone or with the great contributions of others, as partners, we never betray the greater goal.
In the situation of my “PHANTASMAGORIA” trailer, involving—Anthony Silva, DP, editor, and screenwriter—and Rudy Coby, Illusionist and Visual Supervisor…as well as, Steven Klein, Benoit Dubois, and Gottfriend Helnwein (and son Cyril).
This trailer was never intended to be ‘leaked’ and is 100 percent a blasphemy, that the ‘so called company’ that chose to take credit for anything, other than the fraud of saying that (he) or (they) had any involvement is criminal.
I can assure fans, friends, collaborators… that the days of fucking with Marilyn Manson have ended… and i invite mr. Rob to face me and /or the artists you have raped, face to face.
This isn’t a about words anymore. You have 12 hours to submit your apology or you will face more problems than you thought your stealing, lies would create. tik tok.

RevolverTV hat ein kurzes Interview mit Marilyn Manson veröffentlicht, dass im Vorfeld der der „Revolver Golden Gods Awards“ Show geführt wurde.
Manson äußert sich darin zum neuen Album der Band, das von Twiggy geschrieben und von Heavy Metal beeinflusst sein soll – geprägt durch die Freundschaft zu den ehemaligen Touring-Partnern Slayer. Manson bezeichnet den Sound der neuen Platte es süffisant als „Suicide / Death Metal”.

Ein 1:35 minütiger Promo-Trailer zu Marilyn Manson’s Film “Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll” ist im Internet aufgetaucht:
Der Film liegt seit 2006 auf Eis, der Release-Termin für den Film wurde immer wieder verschoben und ist weiterhin offen. Auch Marilyn Manson hat sicher schon längere Zeit nicht mehr zu seinem Filmprojekt geäußert…

Rudy Coby, Marilyn Manson’s Kumpel und bekannter Magier, hat gestern auf seiner Webseite RudyCoby.net bekannt gegeben, dass Manson in der kommende Promo-Show zu dessen „MAGIC VS. SCIENCE” Woche die Rolle des „bösen Magiers“ übernehmen wird.

Bei der Vergabe der jährlichen “Golden Gods Awards” in Los Angeles (08. April) war Marilyn Manson als Redner geladen. In seiner Ansprache behandelte Manson dabei das Thema rund um die Verurteilung und die Hintergründe des Falls der West Memphis Three“. Hintergründe zu diesen Thema kann man auf “Wikipedia nachlesen.

…serious situation I want to talk about. In all the things that I’ve done, obviously any of us, especially me could have been Damian Echols, but he’s on death row in Arkansas for a crime he did not commit. Mostly because he dressed like we do, listened to music like we do, and acted like we do. And I think he’s felt what we all feel now, what we’ve always felt and kind of stayed out of, you know I’ve always been a big supporter of the cause. But I chose a long time ago not to be involved because I thought I would add to the problem, but now I think it’s an important time to stand up and be part of the problem for me. This is a person who was singled out in a small town in Arkansas with his friends Jason Baldwin, Jessie Misskelly and subjected to the basic Salem Witch Trial that everyone talks about. Their prosecution resulted in him being sentenced to death without any sort of evidence just basically prosecuted on the way he looks, the way we look, the way that we all feel. So for sixteen years, these guys who were teenagers at the time of their trial, things that we can’t imagine that they’ve gone through for one minute. You know they stopped being a regular life and started being criminals when they weren’t. It’s kind of come down to this, it’s basic, people have always prosecuted everyone like us, me, I’m not going to try to compare myself to Damian Echols. Although I wish that I had the strength that this guy had, because he’s gone to trial and gone to prison for just looking and thinking the things he did, and that’s pretty much what all of us as a music community believe in and what we need to finally get behind. So I’m standing up today to say lets all get behind the West Memphis 3
and fix it. And that’s all I’ve go to say, lets fix this shit.
